“The World Federation of Trade Unions expresses its sincere sadness for the victims who have found tragic death in the multi-storey building in Grenfell, London. We convey our condolences to the families of the victims and their relatives. We denounce the hypocrisy of the Governmental and Local Authorities that try to hide their responsibilities.”

“For the international class oriented trade union movement, what happened in the building, resulting in the injustice and tragic loss of the lives of 58 people and more than 70 still missing, it is not an accident – it is a crime. The instigators of the crime are all those who allowed to use inappropriate materials, are all those who consider the lives of immigrants and the poorest of lower value than the lives of the rich people, are all those who try to hide the real causes of the crime, are the public authorities that do not pay the attention needed to the safety of buildings.”
“As a result of such unacceptable practices workers are being burnt in the fires, workers are drowning in the rains; workers are dying in the cold and in the heat, during the earthquakes, the floods those who are losing their lives are the poorest.”
“We call the international working class to put in its first line of action the health and safety conditions where it works and where it lives. To organize struggles to demand real solutions; to demand true answers and the punishment of the responsible persons of this crime.”
